After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oldenburg Academy, the Hauser Jets were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They came out on top against Clarksville by a score of 45-38.
Hauser's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby Manley led the charge by scoring 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Manley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bella Kilps, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Clarksville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Watts, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. Emma Money was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Even though they lost, Clarksville were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Hauser's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Clarksville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hauser's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Morristown at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Clarksville will take on Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
