The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Newtown in their matchups with Wilton: they've now lost five in a row.
Wilton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Henry Roy out in front who scored 22 points along with six assists and five steals. Ryan Luchetta was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Newtown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wilton, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newtown will take on Staples at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilton, they will head out on the road to face off against Bassick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
