In what's become a running theme this season, the Bishop Manogue Miners gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Galena 63-25 on the road. Bishop Manogue is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 14 straight.
Bishop Manogue got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Fa'anaetaua Puloka out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Puloka has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Violet Gordon, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Galena's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Wulforst and Mia Turner. Wulforst scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals, while Turner scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Turner hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games.
Galena struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Bishop Manogue pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27 points. As for Galena, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Manogue will take on Damonte Ranch at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Damonte Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for Galena, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spanish Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
