Volleyball Recap: All Saints' Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Valeria Castro and Aniyah Sanchez

All Saints' Academy lost against Harvest Community back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1.

Despite the loss, All Saints' Academy had strong showings from Aniyah Sanchez, who had 17 digs, and Valeria Castro, who had nine assists and four digs. Sanchez has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 19 times she's played.

Harvest Community's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Harris, who had four digs and two aces. Taylor Marts was another key player, getting 15 kills and five digs.

All Saints' Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Harvest Community, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

All Saints' Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against St. Edward's on the 23rd. As for Harvest Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Lakewood Ranch on the 23rd.
