The Red Mesa Redskins will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Whitehorse Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Whitehorse took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Red Mesa, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Red Mesa was fully in charge, breezing past Greyhills Academy 42-15 at home. The squad ran away with 31 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Mesa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daleni Nakai, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tianna Bradley, who scored 7 points along with 12 steals.
Meanwhile, Whitehorse was the victim of a rough 52-30 loss at the hands of Monument Valley on Saturday. Whitehorse has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Red Mesa to 3-1 and Greyhills Academy to 0-2.
Red Mesa was taken down by Whitehorse 64-35 when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Can Red Mesa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
