The Hillcrest Christian Cougars can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 65-29 win over Prairie View Academy. With Hillcrest Christian ahead 33-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Hillcrest Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Severe McNeary led the charge by scoring 12 points along with four steals. Darius Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Prairie View Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Abram Anthony, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, and Tollan Wallace who scored four points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Hillcrest Christian and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Prairie View Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest Christian will face off against Porter's Chapel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prairie View Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 2:02 p.m. on Monday.
