The Onaga Buffaloes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Linn on the road by a decisive 59-45 margin. Onaga was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Linn apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Onaga still got an impressive performance from Konnor Nider, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nider has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Daniels, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Onaga's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Linn, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Onaga's road trip will continue as they head out to face Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Linn, they will square off against Axtell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Axtell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Linn in Kansas (Axtell is ranked 99th, while Linn is ranked 210th).
