Given Collinsville's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked seventh in Illinois, while Lift for Life Academy is ranked 291st in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Collinsville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamorie Wysinger out in front who scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Horras, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Althoff Catholic suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Belleville West by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (56), Althoff Catholic still had to take the loss.
Collinsville's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Althoff Catholic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.
