Football Recap: Plant's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Plant needed a changed in momentum after dropping eight straight games and they got it from Adalya Rinehart. Plant came out on top against the Osceola Warriors by a score of 19-6 on Friday thanks in part to Rinehart, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 194 yards and two TDs. That's the most receiving yards she has posted since back in February.

Plant didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Melina Torres and Emma Sullivan.

Plant's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Osceola, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plant will host Tampa Bay Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tampa Bay Tech's defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so Plant's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Osceola, they will face off against Hollins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
