University School of Jackson found their leader in underclassman Haylen Ayers, who scored 28 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Ayers has scored at least 25% of University School of Jackson's points. Another player making a difference was Lilly Teague, who scored eight points.
University School of Jackson's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Jackson Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University School of Jackson will take on Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tipton-Rosemark Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 388th, while University School of Jackson is ranked 103rd). As for Jackson Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m.
