Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Ferris should expect quite the challenge on Saturday. They take on Irvington at 7:00 PM.
Things haven't been easy for Ferris, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. Last Friday, they came up short against Dickinson, falling 20-28. A silver lining for Ferris was the play of junior Camron Scott, who passed for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing seven points in their last game, Irvington made sure to put some points up on the board against North Bergen. Irvington put the hurt on North Bergen with a sharp 41-20 win. Followers of Irvington probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Irvington's victory lifted them to 3-3 while Ferris's loss dropped them down to 0-6. Irvington's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Ferris defensive front that amassed four sacks against Dickinson, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
