New Holstein let Kiel stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Saturday but luckily New Holstein prevailed anyway. The Huskies won by a run and slipped past the Raiders 8-7. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Makya Pendleton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Jenna Horn was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Kourtney Karls also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
