The Johns Creek Gladiators fell victim to the Pope Greyhounds''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Greyhounds on the road and fell 38-0. Johns Creek just can't catch a break and has now endured seven losses in a row.
Michael Mcclellan threw for 26 yards on five of 12 attempts. On the ground, Nick Dipietro rushed for 56 yards.
John Stuetzer was his usual excellent self, picking up 166 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground.
Johns Creek's loss was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.4 points per game. As for Pope, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.
Johns Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pope will be playing at home against Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
