Ellison waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-21 win over the Taylor Ducks. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Ducks are ranked 619th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tiana Candee and Ursula Rydell certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Candee posted six points and 14 rebounds, while Rydell earned four points and seven rebounds. Candee has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played.

Ellison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Taylor, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Ellison will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waco at 2:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Taylor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-21 defeat against Connally on the 12th.
