The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shaw in their matchups with Garfield Heights: they've now lost four in a row.
Garfield Heights was led to victory by Journey Rencher and Stacia Mobley. Rencher scored 17 points, while Mobley scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Summer Raines, who scored ten points.
Shaw's defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.9 points per game. As for Garfield Heights, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
