Baseball Recap: Pottstown Comes Up Short

Pottstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Semaj Laws was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Laws wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Pallay, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Pottstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Owen J. Roberts, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Coming up, Pottstown will face off against West-Mont Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Owen J. Roberts, they will challenge Pope John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Owen J.
