Taylorsville took down Enterprise 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Terrian Page threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 58 yards in the win.
The Tartars led 2A Region 7 in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on the Bulldogs. Page in the win.
Taylorsville's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Lemarcus Booth chipped in 99 yards. Booth helped Taylorsville's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
Austin Owens was the best wideout in the league this week as Matt Caldwell's team bested Enterprise. Owens tallied two receptions for 41 yards.
Bay Springs's Jonnas Spivey and Brandon Jones have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Spivey has thrown for 1272 yards this season, while Jones has 22 catches for 366 yards. Dylan Taylor from Kelly Jimmerson's team leads the league in rushing with 713 yards.
A big matchup in 2A Region 7 this week will be when the Tartars take on the Bulldogs. Taylorsville is in first place, while Bay Springs is in third place.
There should be lots of points scored when the Tartars and the Bulldogs face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Taylorsville comes in having scored 337 this season, while Bay Springs has scored 272. The Tartars scored 50 points last week as they beat the Bulldogs.
Mize made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,155 from 4,333. The improvement was the result of 34-14 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
