The Ramsay Rams typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Jacksonville Golden Eagles proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Rams with a 56-50 win. The win was nothing new for Jacksonville as they're now sitting on three straight.
Devin Barksdale continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 3 assists. Another player making a difference was Aaron Nixon, who scored 13 points.
Jacksonville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Ramsay, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jacksonville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Piedmont at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Piedmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Jacksonville is ranked 50th). As for Ramsay, they will head out on the road to face off against Hueytown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Hueytown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
