Bishop Timon-St. Jude had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-8 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the West Seneca West Warhawks by a score of 7-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered an 11-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ryder Kopacz and Ian Wasielewski made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Kopacz tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Wasielewski didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Bishop Timon-St. Jude is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise. At the plate, Kopacz got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Wasielewski got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Wasielewski a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mattingly Goc was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Joe Insera was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Seneca West only posted an OBP of .233.
As for West Seneca West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
On West Seneca West's side, Brady Coughlin put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Coughlin was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Coughlin wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jude Khoury, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.
