They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ridgeview Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-0  back in September.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, DeLand-Weldon sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 19-25,  15-8.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Ellie Hayward, who  had 11  digs, three  aces,  and one  block. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kayten Smart, who  had 15  digs.
DeLand-Weldon's loss dropped their record down to 13-19. As for Ridgeview,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 12-17.
 DeLand-Weldon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  2-0  victory against Urbana University on the 21st. As for Ridgeview, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  defeat against Fisher on the 18th.
