Camden County has gone 9-1 against Holmes recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bruins will look to defend their home field against the Aces at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Holmes' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Camden County hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bruins never let Hertford County get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won eight in a row.

Effie Drew made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Lila Meredith was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Julia Doppler was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
Camden County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holmes, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pasquotank County with a sharp 15-5 win on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Aces needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
The team relied heavily on Ainsley Parrish, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Provencher, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
The victory snapped Holmes' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record. As for Camden County, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Camden County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Holmes struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Camden County came out on top in a nail-biter against Holmes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aces turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
