Dixon is a perfect 10-0 against Woodland since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Dixon made easy work of Rio Linda and carried off a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Dakota Gaball made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Olivia Gomez was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Emily Morris was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Dixon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodland). Everything went their way against Natomas on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Like Dixon, Woodland also got a great game from a two-way player: Taylin Gill. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, Gill posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzy Loesch, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sofia Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Dixon's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Woodland, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-11.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dixon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .437. However, it's not like Woodland struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Dixon took their win against Woodland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-0 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
