The Washington Rams lost against the Youngker Roughriders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Washington took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Youngker. Washington has not had much luck with Youngker recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Washington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Natalie Agsaulio. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Yazzie, who scored nine points.
Ashlee Gonzalez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds for Youngker. Gonzalez hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Daniela Barreras was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.
Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Youngker, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Washington won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Youngker, they will head out on the road to face off against Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
