The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Climax-Scotts in their matchups with Colon: they've now lost five in a row.
Colon was led to victory by Nic Mock and Dalton Williams. Mock scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Williams scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The match was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kayden LaClair, who scored three points.
Climax-Scotts now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Colon, they pushed their record up to 2-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Climax-Scotts will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buchanan at 7:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Colon, they will head out on the road to face off against Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Reading is ranked 512th, while Colon is ranked 525th).
