Taylor Smith posted a new career-high in RBI on Thursday. He wasn't messing around, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The game was his sixth straight with at least one stolen base.

Smith and Cape Fear Christian Academy will head out to square off against Crossroads Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles had to take a loss when they last met the Colts, but Smith had little to do with the loss: he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk).
