Thune has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Thune was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news, Charlotte Latin got a  massive  performance out of  Talia Hawa, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.  Avery Bly was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Charlotte Latin,  the  win  got them back to even at 8-8.
 St. Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charlotte Latin, they will head out on the road to  face off against  North Raleigh Christian Academy at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Charlotte Latin is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses.
