Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight  defeat. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shadow Mountain Matadors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Matadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 25-13,  25-19.
Moon Valley's offense was headlined by  Jordyn Lumpkin and  Enedina Virgil Macey, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from  Regina Roman Angulo and her nine assists. Lumpkin was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
  SOPHIA LOPEZ was a one-woman wrecking crew For Shadow Mountain. as she  had 17  digs and five  aces. Those  five  aces gave  LOPEZ a new career-high.  ELLE McCARVILLE was another key player,  getting 14  kills, six  digs,  and one  block.
Moon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Shadow Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
