The Hilldale Hornets can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Madill with a 20-14 win. The win was just what Hilldale needed coming off of a 35-7 loss in their prior game.
Hilldale can attribute much of their success to Gage Rowland, who rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for ten yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Hilldale's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Madill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Hilldale will head out on the road to face off against Fort Gibson on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Fort Gibson is ranked 124th, while Hilldale is ranked 115th). As for Madill, they will be playing at home against Sallisaw on Friday.
