Cedar is 1-9 against Desert Hills since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Reds are taking a road trip to square off against the Thunder at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cedar comes in on five and Desert Hills on 14.
Cedar gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Richfield. The result was nothing new for the Reds, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaycee Adams and Karli Adams were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Adams pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Karli struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. At the plate, Adams went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Karli went 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave Karli a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hunter Blackner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kate Lopez, who went 4-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Cedar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richfield only posted an OBP of .259.
Meanwhile, Desert Hills got themselves on the board against Gunnison Valley on Saturday, but Gunnison Valley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Lulu West was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Lee, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Cedar's record is now 12-8. As for Desert Hills, their record now sits at 21-2.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cedar hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Desert Hills struggles in that department as they've averaged .391. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
