Chesterton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Andrean Fighting 59ers with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
While Chesterton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-22.
Chesterton found their leader in sophomore Delaney Barrett, who had five aces and four digs. Elaina Markwart also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Chesterton's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Andrean, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Chesterton and Andrean will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trojans are set to take on their familiar foe La Porte at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Andrean will face off against rival Hanover Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
