The Madison Mohawks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Zane Trace.
Zane Trace's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Langley, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 112 yards and a touchdown. Zane Trace also got help from Aaden Dunn who showed off his sure hands for 95 receiving yards.
Madison's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 4-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.9 points per game. As for Zane Trace, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Zane Trace will take on Purcell Marian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Purcell Marian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
