Mojave River recap September 24, 2013
Hesperia scaled the state rankings by moving to 185 from 290 this week, the biggest jump in Mojave River. The Scorpions climbed the ranks as a result of besting Canyon Springs 47-16.
Oak Hills extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Arroyo Valley, 55-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Oak Hills' dynamic duo of Nolan Brammer and Tommy Anderson proved to be unstoppable against the Hawks, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brammer threw for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns and Anderson had 65 yards receiving. Gino Mastandrea helped Oak Hills' passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 47 yards.
Robert Kistner's team's dynamic duo of Brammer and Anderson proved tough for Arroyo Valley to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Anderson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs defeated Tony DiThomas' team.
Semaje Williams was a passing and rushing force as Hesperia bested the Cougars. Williams' favorite target this week was Christopher Crummel, who caught 3 passes for 49 yards.
Williams was the best running back in Mojave River this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 237 yards as Jeremy Topete's team bested the Hawks.
Williams was a force in the backfield as the Scorpions beat Canyon Springs.
Wyatt Bevans made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs bested Arroyo Valley. The 6-foot-0 defensive lineman racked up 2.0 sacks.
Brammer put up the best numbers through the air as Oak Hills topped the Hawks.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Hesperia's Austin Williams and Crummel have proven to be a lethal combination. Williams has thrown for 778 yards this season, while Crummel has 28 catches for 417 yards. De Zhontaey flecher from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 771 yards.
Serrano took down Adelanto 77-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
