Robinson hasn't had much luck against Jefferson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Robinson was handed a 13-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past Wharton 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Robinson's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Collin Rosenberg, who went 2-for-5 with one RBI. That's the most hits Rosenberg has posted since back in April of 2025.
Jefferson came out on top against Plant on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Dragons narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since March 19, 2025.
Kaleb Cherry made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Ethan Savinon was excellent, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Manny Baez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Robinson's record is now 3-6. As for Jefferson, their record now sits at 6-1.
Robinson came out on top in a nail-biter against Jefferson when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
