Cannelton is still winless after their match against Crothersville on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They fell just short of the Crothersville Tigers by a score of 41-38. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cannelton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kylie Anastasiades, who posted 17 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 44.7% of Cannelton's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Hulse, who had seven points and ten rebounds.

Crothersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooklyn Bottorff, who put up nine points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kendra Kelshaw, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds.

Cannelton's record now sits at 0-7. As for Crothersville, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Cannelton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 44-33 victory against Christian Academy of Madison on the 7th. As for Crothersville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-30 defeat against Hauser on the 7th.
