The Whale Branch Warriors waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They pulled ahead with a 60-59 photo finish over Bridges Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bradford Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Greggory Gilbert, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Whale Branch's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Bridges Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
