The Chavez Titans will take on the McNair Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chavez will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each game than the last.
Chavez took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Weston Ranch. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Chavez was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-14, 20-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chavez to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandon Nonnarath, who had 17 kills, seven digs, and three aces. That's the most aces Nonnarath has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Vang, who had 27 digs and two assists.
Meanwhile, McNair lost 3-0 to Edison on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
McNair was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-10.
Chavez pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for McNair, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
