The Escalante Moquis scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Monument Valley as Escalante made off with a 73-51 win. Escalante might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Escalante's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rayce Jenkins, who scored 15 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Gardner, who scored nine points along with 20 rebounds.
The win got Escalante back to even at 5-5. As for Monument Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
After both having extra time off, Escalante and Valley will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Monument Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pine Hill at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th.
