Johnston City barely beat Carmi-White County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Johnston City pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Carmi-White County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season.

Johnston City will challenge Vienna at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carmi-White County, they will face off against Edwards County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
