Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Sinton Pirates walked away with it. They blew past Bishop, posting a 34-7 win on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Sinton who now have seven in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Rhyzaya Rodriguez, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Triston Handson was another key contributor, throwing for 96 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes.
Sinton's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Bishop, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Sinton will face off against Lago Vista at TBD on Friday. Lago Vista is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Bishop does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
