Coopersville and Sparta are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Broncos will challenge the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Coopersville's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
Coopersville is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Allendale just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. While Sparta didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Greenville 19-18. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Coopersville took their victory against Sparta when the teams last played back in March of 2021 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
