Baseball Recap: Lindbergh Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lindbergh entered their tilt with Festus on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Tigers.

Jack Politte was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ethan Cantareira, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lindbergh's win bumped their record up to 26-11-1. As for Festus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lindbergh will host Howell North at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Festus, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Marquette at 4:30 p.m.
