The Ben Lomond Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 70-34 loss at the hands of Grantsville. Ben Lomond has struggled against Grantsville recently, as their contest on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Ben Lomond still got an impressive performance from Dory Jenson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grantsville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Allred, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Baylee Lowder, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Ben Lomond has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Grantsville, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Ben Lomond will take on Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morgan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Ben Lomond likes a good challenge. As for Grantsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ogden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Grantsville is ranked sixth).
