Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Belding

Belding entered their tilt with Godwin Heights on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Redskins have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Ingles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Amara German was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Ingles, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Belding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of 1.000. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Belding's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Godwin Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
