The Tigers will look to defend their home field against National Cathedral at 4:00 p.m. Jackson-Reed has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Jackson-Reed had been on a seven-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Potomac School put an end to it on Friday. The Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 7th.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for National Cathedral, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Maret a 15-0 shutout on Wednesday. With that victory, National Cathedral brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.
Ryan Walker made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Walker was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Schvimmer went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Sinbondit went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Schvimmer a new career-high. Iyanna Edwards was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
National Cathedral always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maret only posted an OBP of .143.
National Cathedral's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson-Reed, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1.
