Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet hadn't done well against Hume-Fogg recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Royals were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Blue Knights. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won four contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet got a massive performance out of Marlee Martin, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those triples marked the first that Martin hit this season. Another player making a difference was Lily Sullivan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Martin wasn't the only one making solid contact: Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win snapped Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Hume-Fogg, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet will welcome St. Cecilia Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Royals will need to watch out since the Scarabs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Hume-Fogg, they will take on Pearl-Cohn at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Knights are facing the Firebirds at the right time seeing as the Firebirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
