Dumm Posts Huge Game in 28-0 Win
Starting off the list is Northern Cambria's Ty Dumm, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dumm rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 115 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
Dumm might have his next game, a road matchup with Conemaugh Township, circled on his calendar. When Dumm last faced the Indians back in September of 2023, he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

West Shamokin had to settle for second on Friday, but Cole Wingard sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Wingard as he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 64 yards.
West Shamokin is on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Wingard and West Shamokin will face off against Conemaugh Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sam Yanits was instrumental in extending River Valley's winning streak to six on Friday. Conemaugh Valley had no answer to Yanits as he rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Yanits might just drop another big game when he faces off against Marion Center on Friday. When Yanits last faced the Stingers back in September of 2023, he rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
