Valdosta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jabarri Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Jenrette, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Colquitt County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of Richmond Hill by a score of 48-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Colquitt County has suffered yet this season.
Valdosta has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. As for Colquitt County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-13.
Valdosta beat Colquitt County 61-50 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valdosta since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
