Volleyball Recap: River City Has No Trouble Against Vanden

River City not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vanden Vikings. The Raiders were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Vikings, so the Raiders were just returning the favor.

River City walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-20, 25-16.

Paige Moyneur paced River City's offense, picking up nine kills. Moyneur got some help from Luisa Yacarogovinaka and her 15 assists. Angie Mois controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Vanden lost, don't look at Leila Malabuen. Despite the final result, she had 11 assists and eight digs.

River City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. As for Vanden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

River City has already played their next contest (against Rodriguez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vanden also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Vacaville.
