Mt. Pleasant barely beat Davison the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Oilers blew past the Cardinals 13-2 on Monday. With that win, the Oilers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Mt. Pleasant let Tyler McGee and Clayton Molyneux run wild. McGee went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI, while Molyneux went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. McGee also scored a run, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brock Binder, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.

Mt. Pleasant has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Davison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will welcome Central at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Davison, they will face off against Midland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chemics will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
