The Oswego Indians lost against the Uniontown Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Oswego ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-40 walloping at the hands of the Eagles. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oswego in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Oswego still got an impressive performance from Josh Hutchinson, who scored 19 points along with three steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Hutchinson posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Long, who scored six points along with two steals.
Oswego struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Oswego has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Uniontown, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Oswego will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Paul is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Uniontown, they will head out on the road to challenge the Jayhawks on Monday. Jayhawk Linn and the Eagles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
